2009-2010 R/C Racing Rules

S/K Classes - General Rules

1. Minimum weight - 32 ounces race ready with transponder.
2. Maximum width 8.25” measured from the outside widest point of the wheels, or tires.
3. Wheel base min. 9.5”, max 10.5”, measured from center of the front axle to center of the rear axle.
4. The chassis must remain under the body, from the firewall to the rear bumper.
5. A spoiler may be added to the rear of the body no larger than 1.5” high and 4” wide, centered with the body.
6. Front bumpers may not extend more than 1/2” forward of the body, and may not be wider than 3”.  Bumpers must be centered with the chassis.
7. Rear bumpers and nerf-wings must remain under the body and must be smooth and secure.
8. All tires and wheels must be 1/10 scale only.
9. Only spec center rod with tubing type dampeners may be used.
10. No center side shocks may not be added to any car.
11. One dampening tube may be used for side to side dampening only. 

Current Approved chassis for S/K Pro Stock/17.5:
-KSKT - Beefy Avenger & Grim Reaper - RSE chassis - D.A.R.N., RKR & KSK Skateboard solid chassis - Original XCaliber (BEEFY)

Chassis rules:
1. Stock mounting locations must be used for all components.
2. The right rear portion of the "skateboard solid chassis may be ground away to allow for spur gear/tire clearance. No other cutting or grinding of chassis is allowed.
3. Two holes may be drilled for steering servo mounts and a bumper, and one for antenna mount (only if such holes are not provided by the  manufacturer). No other holes may be drilled.
4. No slider chassis allowed.
5. No front end locator style front ends are allowed.

Approved bodies:
-All Bolink Legends - Wind Tunnel WT2095 - Beefy Products S/K body - KSKT Phantom - KSKT Mantis.

Body rules:

1. All windows must remain intact.
2. Wheel wells must be cut below the rear window lines.
3. The rear portion of the body must remain intact.  Both upper and lower rear bumper lines must be left in the body,
4. Steering servo and servo saver must remain under the body.
5. All bodies must have three numbers on them.  One on the roof and one on each side. (door area under front side windows)
6. Bodies should be painted to represent racing vehicles.

Pro-Stock S/K Class motor & battery rules:
Motors: R.O.A.R approved 17.5 Brushless motors. 
Battery: R.O.A.R. 1S LiPo 3.7 volt.

Pan Car Classes - General Rules
Any 1/10 scale direct drive pan car chassis(ie RC10L3/4, Hyperdrive, KSG etc.).
3mm / 1/8" ride height, ROAR roof height - Nothing may be added to the roof to increase roof height.
NASCAR Cup/GN style bodies, painted. McAllister C.O.T. Bodies for C.O.T. class

C.O.T. "SPEC" STOCK RULES

Weight - 37oz. minimum (including personal or public  transponder).
Motor & Speed control:
Novak #3417 17.5 brushless motor.
Novak electronic speed controls only. No externally programmable speed controls.
BATTERY: SMC #4025S 4000mah 3.7volt 25C LiPo
TIRES - BSR Spec tires with yellow identifying band. Trueing of tires is allowed. Right front must be silver compound. Typical setup for our track is Silver RF, Green LR & Rears.
BODIES - McAllister and ProtoForm C.O.T. Style NASCAR bodies.

Weight - 36oz. minimum (including personal or public  transponder).

Motor - ROAR approved 17.5 BL motor with R.O.A.R. approved 3.7 volt 1S LiPo

1/10 Direct Drive Super Stock 

Weight - 36oz. minimum (including personal or public  transponder).

Motor - ROAR approved 13.5 BL

Battery - R.O.A.R. approved 1S 3.7volt LiPo

Traxxas Slash

Chassis & Suspension - No modifications of any type may be made to the chassis plate, lower braces, battery brace, nerf bars, bumpers, skid plates, body mounts, suspension arms, shock towers hub carriers or related parts. Weight may not be added  to the chassis. Stock white progressive springs must be used. Springs may not be shortened. Pre-Load may be added. Toe in and camber may be adjusted within the limit of the stock turnbuckles.

Drivetrain - No modifications may be made to the gearbox, transmission gears, slipper clutch, or drive shafts. 86 tooth spur gear only. Any 48 pitch pinion gear.

Tires & Wheels - Original factory tires and wheels may be used. No cutting or grinding of the tread. Softening/traction compounds may be used.

Bodies - Original body or similar style short course truck body must be run. Bodies must be painted.

Electronics - Traxxas XL-5 or VXL speed control must be used with Titan 12T motor only(motor part #3785). Motor label must be intact. Motor modifications of any kind are not allowed. Any brand/model of transmitter, receiver and servo may be used.

Battery pack - The battery must be placed in the stock location. The foam spacer may be place in front or back of the battery when running a 6 cell pack. Any 6 or 7 cell NiMh or 2S LiPo battery(max 5000mah) may be used. Must be equipped with a high current connector(Traxxas, Deans, etc.). 

Rear Ride Height - 1-1/8" static.

Replacement parts allowed: Traxxas Slash original replacement parts and performance accessories. Pro-Line - Front bumper and skid plates. RPM - non performance enhancing replacement parts.

                                          Any brand - Aluminum steering blocks, rear hub carriers, caster blocks, shock caps, & wheel hex drives. Other aluminum parts that enhance durability but not                                                                               performance may be approved and added to this list upon further review.

Team Losi Mini Late-Model

Motor - must run the originally supplied motor RX-280(part # LOSB1216) or the Venom Fireball Micro 370P(part # VEN-1320)

Electronics - Must run original MRX 3000 receiver and MSC20RB speed control. Any servo that fits in the original configuration may be used. Any Radio transmitter that is compatible with the MRX 3000 receiver may be used.

Tires & Wheels - The original stock wheels and tires or any 1/18 scale foam tires made for the Team Losi 1/18 scale series may be run. Traction/softening compound may be used.

Battery - 6 cell 2/3AA NiCad or 2S LiPo battery packs may be run.

Body - Any brand 1/18 scale Late Model Wedge style bodies may be run.

Replacement and upgrade parts, other than those mentioned above, made for Losi 1/18 scale series models and that fit directly without modification are allowed.
